Responsibilities:
Ensure accounting records are accurate and complete on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Prepare internal, external, and regulatory reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, or as required. Facilitate successful external review and audit processes to meet various regulatory requirements (e.g. GAAP, SEC, SOX). Manage junior accounting team members and third-party resources, and direct supervision of administrative accounting staff. Research and analyze technical accounting and financial reporting issues, assess impact to organization, formalize positions and recommendations, write memos, and ensure reporting compliance. Special projects and other related duties as assigned. Essential Position Duties:
Ensure accounting records are accurate and complete on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis Streamline, develop, and optimize close processes, reporting requirements, and general ledger setup. Manage and/or execute recurring accounting processes. Review work performed by other accountants/accounting teams and manage the timeliness of month-end close. May perform work of those they supervise. Work closely with various departments to gather and analyze data used for the preparation of journal entries. Monitor and address treasury needs (e.g. bank balances, bill payments, etc.). Train, develop, and mentor junior team members and/or third-party resources. Analyze account balances at month-end and facilitate communication to management and other accounting team members, as necessary, and ensure resolution of issues. Ensure accounting policies and activities across different entities/brands align with corporate policies where appropriate. Prepare internal, external, and regulatory reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, or as required Compile analysis/reports for the quarterly reviews, annual audits, tax return preparation, or other requirements. Preparation and/or review of financial statements, footnote disclosures, management discussion and analysis, and other internal and external reporting requirements. Prepare reports for executive leadership to help make business decisions. Facilitate successful external review and audit processes to meet various regulatory requirements (e.g. GAAP, SEC, SOX). Establish and coordinate the implementation of accounting and internal control procedures in accordance with applicable requirements. Maintain records in accordance with Company's internal controls and US GAAP and assemble documentation requested by auditors and other parties. Communicate effectively with Company's auditors and other parties as necessary. Ensure that internal controls over financial reporting are adequately designed, implemented, and operating effectively. Manage junior accounting team members and third-party resources, and direct supervision of administrative accounting staff Review work submitted by junior accountants and manage accounting close processes. Coordinate and lead daily, monthly, and quarterly team activities Research and analyze technical accounting and financial reporting issues, assess impact to organization, formalize positions and recommendations, write memos, and ensure reporting compliance. Special projects and other related duties as assigned. For example, preparation and documentation related to adoption of new accounting standards, implementation of tools to make close more efficient, and purchase accounting. Position will work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed (for example, should they occur during monthly and/or quarterly reporting cycles). Additional Position Duties:

Qualifications:
Education and/or
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field. CPA certification. Five or more (5+) years relevant finance and/or accounting experience post bachelor's degree. Three or more (3+) years of experience in public accounting preferred. E-commerce, SaaS, or technology industry experience a plus.
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
AccountingEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
