$140K - $177K a year 11 hours ago 11 hours ago 11 hours ago DIRECTV Video Retention is looking for a data specialist to gather, merge, analyze and interpret retention data focused on spend, churn, call volume, viewership, and treatments based on multiple customer segmentations.
You will work closely with data analysts and business users as part of an agile team to develop datasets that enable data visualization, machine learning, and data driven decision-making across our streaming and satellite TV products.
This role supports retention strategy and helps the organization optimize campaign performance and ROI.
Here's what you'll do:
Maintenance:
Daily review of data flow each morning to ensure there are not any errors or job failures; create data dependencies and automate tasks.
Architecture Design:
Optimize data performance in Databricks and Snowflake.
ETL:
Collect data, transform it, and load it to the warehouse or tableau environment.
Deploy, maintain, and improve data pipelines.
Develop Dashboards in Tableau or PowerBI to support automation of analysis, visualization, and optimization for an executive level audience.
Projects include, but are not limited to, building data infrastructure, dashboard building and conducting analysis (variance, cohort, spend/churn, and viewership).
Develop complex and basic reports, charts, tables, and other visual aids in support of findings.
Advise business partners regarding patterns and relationships in data to recommend business direction or outcomes.
What you'll need to be successful:

years of related experience in advanced analytics, data science, big data, relational database structures, reporting, dashboarding, ad hoc analysis.
Degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, business, or related quantitative field preferred, but not required; advanced degree is a plus.
Expertise in Python, SQL, Databricks Engineering, Snowflake (certificates preferred), Tableau, disparate data sets, data mining, data visualization tools.
Experience with AWS and Power BI is a plus.
Expertise in MS Office Suite.
Strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills, must be capable of explaining complex information to others in straightforward manner.
Recommend solutions to improve performance based on analysis.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
This is a remote position that can be located anywhere in the United States.
