We are currently accepting applications for a Medical Assistant/Receptionist with a minimum of one year experience to join our team.
Work hours will be from 8:

m.
to 5:
00 p.
m.
Monday to Friday but may be subject to change based on the needs of the medical practice.
Primary Medical Receptionist duties will include but are not limited to:
Obtaining prior authorizations for diagnostic exams and referrals Scheduling diagnostic exams Greeting patients in a friendly, professional manner Answering, screening, and directing phone calls to appropriate parties without error Checking in patients Scheduling appointments Reviewing patient registration forms for accuracy and completeness Verifying insurances and requesting co-payments Primary Medical Assistant duties will include but are not limited to:
Preparing and maintaining exam rooms in a clean and orderly manner Taking patient primary complaints Assisting physicians with a wide range of tasks that are related to patient care Contacting pharmacies with new medication and/or order changes as directed Giving vaccinations/injections, performing vision tests, audiograms, and EKG's Monitoring Patients Quality Metric Data Requirements:
At least one year experience as a medical assistant/receptionist preferably in a Family Medicine setting Knowledge of medical terminology Electronic Medical Records proficiency, Cerner preferred The ability to perform venipuncture The desire to work in a fast paced environment The ability to communicate clearly to patients and fellow staff members both verbally and in writing Educational Requirement:
A High School Diploma or GED A valid Medical Assistant Diploma/Certificate A valid CPR card Qualified candidates should submit their resume for consideration via this ad.
