Job SummaryAs a Spacecraft Power Engineer, your systems will power Millennium satellites -- literally.
Power engineers design most of the satellite electrical system, including overall electrical architecture, battery and solar array design, power conversion, and power distribution.
They are involved from early conceptual design and development, during the detailed design phase, when components and satellites are being built and tested, and during on-orbit operations of the satellite.
Whether it s performing low-level electrical circuit design, analyzing the worst-case energy balance of a satellite, or troubleshooting an anomaly of an on-orbit satellite, you will have a hand in it all.
This position s internal job code is Elect Design and Analysis.
Our team is currently hiring for the level range of 3 - 5.

Responsibilities:
Perform spacecraft Electrical Powersubsystem EPS design and analysis at the spacecraft level, including interfaces with other subsystemsDevelop system, subsystem, and component level requirements derived from higher level requirements setsDevelop spacecraft level power models to predict power loading and performance margins to support system designSupport battery, solar array, and electronics designBrief design and analysis materials to program managers, customers, and/or sponsorsSupport system level functional and environmental testingProvide on-orbit support during mission operations and anomaly resolutionAssist in proposal and business development effortsCoordinate efforts with consultants when necessaryMinimum
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in electrical, computer, or other relevant engineering discipline5 or more years experience in the design, development, analysis, implementation, testing, and/or operation of spacecraft power systemsExcellent communication and presentation skillsAbility to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Security Clearance; Preference to candidates with active TS/SCI clearancePreferred QualificationsExperience with high-reliability automotive or aerospace electronicsExperience with mitigation of space radiation effects on microelectronicsExperience in MATLABExperience with hardware design tools such as Altium, EAGLE, OrCad, Allegro, DxDesigner, or PADSPlease note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only of what is reasonably expected to be paid for the position.
