Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable:
- Generating and sending account statements/invoices to customers - Follow up on outstanding payments and ensuring clients have received invoices -Sending reminder emails to customers for almost due invoices - Receiving and applying payments to customer accounts, processing credit card payments - Minor Audit Functions and General Data Entry Accounts Payable:
- Process accounts payable invoices and ensure accurate and timely payments - Review and verify invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports - Prepare and process journal entries for accounts payable transactions - Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies - Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable - Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions - Collaborate with internal departments to resolve any payment issues or inquiries - Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to company policies and procedures -other duties as assigned by supervisor and management
Qualifications:
-Highschool Diploma - Experience in accounts receivable/payable processes or related financial services role preferred - Familiarity with bookkeeping and account reconciliation processes - Transportation/Freight Forwarding experience is a plus - Proficiency in using accounting software, and MS Office applications; knowledge in Magaya is an added advantage - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in accounting or financial services who is looking to contribute to the success of a growing organization.
