DirecTV LLC currently has openings for Sr. Mgr, IT Development available at our office in El Segundo, CA. Job duties: Develop and execute strategic IBM Sterling CPQ projects assuming overall responsibility for application quality, development schedule, deliverables and budget. Responsible for ensuring that design and implementation work follows established standards, processes, application guidelines and technical architecture. Responsible for providing best practices and procedures to improve quality of deliverables and efficiency of development team. Responsible for ensuring that design and implementation are consistent across projects and adhere to application's technical roadmap. Responsible for application capacity management to meet demand and achieve optimal utilization Responsible to identify and manage issues and risks through the lifecycle of each project and release. Ensure that issues and risks are identified, understood and dealt with in a manner that mitigates risk to scope, cost, and schedule. Provide leadership and guidance, and eager to mentor technical team which consists of technical leads, developers and contactors. Analyze trends and processes to identify and implement areas of improvement as needed.
Requirements: Bachelor's in computer science, engineering or related technical field followed by 6 years progressive post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or computer-related occupation. Experience must include: 1.six years of experience in Offer/Billing related technology implementation role with progressive scope and complexity; 2. Have at least last 5
years of experience as Technical manager/development lead for large scale implementations; 3. Have Experience in IBM Sterling CPQ product; 4. Have proven experience to deliver projects in a fast-paced, growing environment; 5. Have experience in leading development teams within a matrixed IT organization; 6. understanding of development processes and agile methodologies; 7. Experience with J2EE applications and architectures in an enterprise environment; 8. Experience architecting solutions in large enterprise to implement the best solutions design; 9. Experience with the following technologies - Java, J2EE, EJB, JMS, JSP, Servlet, JDBC, JNDI, RMI, MVC, Struts, XML, HTML, Log4J, JUnit, FIX, SQL, HTTP Client, XMLBeans, Java Script, netui (beehive), Ajax, SOAP and Web Services; 10. experience in Internet based technologies; 11. Java/J2EE application development using Object Oriented Programming (OOP) principles; 12. web user interface design and development including HTML/DHTML/Client-side Scripting required.
