TASC is looking for a Senior Mission Assurance Engineer to work in El Segundo, CA in support of the US Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) Engineering (EN) Directorate. The candidate will create and maintain a Mission Assurance (MA) Roadmap which provides high-level, overall guidance to SMC Program Offices to ensure MA activities are appropriately tailored within program technical baselines and are aligned throughout the acquisition lifecycle. Duties may include development/execution of Program Office (PO) assessments, tracking of metrics, and/or documentation of Lessons Learned. Roles and Responsibilities:
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Maintain currency of a centralized repository of Specs & Standards
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Ensure proper Systems Engineering rigor/discipline is reflected in PO acquisition strategy/RFP
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Provide tailoring of Mission Assurance requirements
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Provide technical support as requested by PEO/programs
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Institute analytical tools and methods for evaluating and optimizing the SMC portfolio
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Institute and implement technical indicators that measure risks by program phase
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Ensure technical rigor has been instituted and achieved at the technical and readiness gateways
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Provide SPO with technical reach-back and policy/process guidance
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ V&V; Space Flight Worthiness Criteria
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Support PEO readiness certifications (Space and Ground systems)
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Enable use of proper technical indicators/trending status to SPO/IRRT teammates
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Ensure program level indicators/trends are captured and adjudicated
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Provide system and enterprise level analysis (trends across portfolio) Minimum Requirements:
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Requires a Masters' degree in engineering or other technical discipline
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Senior level engineer -- minimum of 12 years' experience
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Knowledge of SMC processes and programs (includes support to both satellite and ground systems development)
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Working knowledge of Mission Assurance with breadth of exposure to multiple MA processes/disciplines
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Experience in defining requirements and processes associated with MA
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Understands inter-relationship between MA and systems engineering
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Requires a strong ability to elicit, articulate, and document information in a well-organized manner
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills are essential to develop and maintain trusted relationships across a diverse community of civilian, military, and contractor personnel
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Requires a current SECRET security clearance
Preferred Requirements:
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Understanding and experience in MA and systems engineering policy formation especially with DoD and Air Force higher headquarters interfaces 1
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ 7 years' experience as systems engineer supporting Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) for AFSPC/AFMC Program Offices or development contractor

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
