Mid-Level Interactive Graphic Designer / Art Director / Production Artist / World Changer / Optimist
We are Manduka. We sell peace, love, joy, possibility, optimism, grounding, and more, in the form of thoughtfully designed, planet loving, soul-infused yoga gear. We've been around since 1997, and are growing very, very fast. Our products are innovative and unmatched in quality and our customer service quickly creates loyal fans. We love our community and sustainably support their yoga practices and their lives in surprising and joyful ways. We also practice yoga in our office, so would love it if you could join us on your mat.
We need a free-spirited, mid-level Interactive Designer (with production know how) who can work joyfully with others and support our Creative Director and other stakeholders. We design and create a wide range of assets including brand marketing materials (Look Books, static, animated and interactive web assets, advertising) retail and sales support materials (POP, Direct, B2B) and product materials (logos, product identities). As a member of our team you'll get a wide range of experience across a wide range of disciplines. Having knowledge of print production support and production process is a definite plus.
What you'll do:
- Concept, design and execute a wide variety of graphic web assets
- Manage the flow of assets / imagery / and creative development
- Provide Pre-production design support, color, sizing, etc.
- Extend concepts provided across assets, working within established Brand Standards
- Production management for digital deliverables
- Assist with creation of print materials when needed
It would be rad if you had the following:
- A yoga practice of your own
- A strong conceptual mind
- A creative, solutions-oriented mind with the ability to prioritize and self manage in a team environment
- A Degree in Graphic Arts or equivalent work experience
- A year or two of experience in graphic design
- Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office tools.
- Web, photography and print production know how
- The ability to remain calm and kind in a dynamic and fast moving environment with fluid schedules and scope
- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines (sometimes even ridiculous ones)
- Some illustration skills would be a cool bonus
What you'll make:
50K-60K/ year, but negotiable depending on experience
