Engility is seeking an engineer to join our team of Global Positioning System (GPS) Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) experts to support the GPS III and GPSIII Follow-On Satellite programs.
The GPS SE&I Team provides specialized engineering, analysis, operations support and subject matter expertise to the GP Directorate.
Within the SE&I Team, the GPS Space Systems Engineer will report to the SE&I GPS Space Segment Division Lead and will work with the GP Directorate's GPS III/IIIF Teams and GPS III Stakeholders.
Duties of the position:
Supporting the USAF GPS Space Vehicles Division in the planning and execution of space segment-centric engineering products development, integration, and verification activities of the GPSIIIF Program.
The span of products includes space application and/or space-qualified hardware and software; and the product integration levels extend from unit to space vehicle to space segment to GPS Enterprise (end-to-end space, control (ground), and user segments).
Participating in the launch and GPS mission readiness campaigns as needed e.

mission dress rehearsals, readiness tests, enterprise assessments and discrepancy review boards Maintaining the technical baseline of GPSIII/IIIF programs, including identifying, documenting, and tracking system specification and interface requirements (incl those associated with specific payloads), and performing requirement traceability assessments to sell-off verification and test events Ensuring effective requirements integration across space, control (ground), and user segments; hardware and software; and all other aspects of systems and organizations within the GPS Enterprise Collaborating with prime contractors, support contractors, government civilians and members of the U.
S.
Air Force Interacting with the prime contractor and government leads to ensure that all system requirements and interfaces are consistent and valid across the GPS Enterprise Developing, documenting, executing, integrating and evolving systems engineering processes as required to enable effective GPS systems engineering and integration efforts Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent engineering experience (4 years) within the aerospace industry Must hold an active Interim or Final Secret Clearance 5 years relevant engineering experience Candidate should have experience with developing or evaluating software.
Experience writing and delivering technical documents and briefings Excellent verbal and written communications skills Demonstrated interpersonal skills to enable working, interfacing, and interrelating with diverse personnel and dynamic teams Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Qualifications:
Master Degree (MS) in engineering or computer science Previous GPS experience is highly desired Experience with one of the following segments of a DoD program:
space, ground, user, operations, test, or sustainment Any relevant experience testing GPS systems or System of System elements Experience analyzing and resolving proposed technical changes to technical baseline (i.
