Human Resources Assistant

The incumbent applies limited experience and detailed knowledge to plan and accomplish tasks. Has understanding of how administrative assignments contribute to the activities of LER. Typical assignments may include:
documenting and obtaining training records into ELM's, filing and copying of various LER actions, note taking, reserving conference rooms, obtaining bridge lines , scheduling and sending invitations to personnel regarding teleconferences, visual tele-conferences, zoom meetings and any other meetings, assisting with the research of Agency rules, regulations, policies and contractual obligations related to processing a variety of various HR/LER actions. This position also involves working, managing, processing and obtaining various LER reports, records, documents and files from LER databases to include the Labor and Employee Relations Information System (LERIS), the Federal Personnel and Payroll System (FPPS), and the Electronic Official Personnel Folder (eOPF).Demonstrates some independence in planning time, and coordinates only as needed to prioritize assignments and use assigned resources. Is responsible for archiving LER products in accordance with all policies and applicable laws, and the processing of Unfair Labor Practices (ULP), bargaining unit arbitrations, Merit System Protection Board (MSPB), Guaranteed Fair Treatment (GFT), unemployment claims/appeals, Freedom of Information Act requests and Congressional inquiries.Contacts are primarily internal to the organizational unit and major subdivision, but may have a significant external component. Internal contacts are with managers and other employees to share information and/or discuss the statuses of assigned tasks. External contacts typically are with customers and other parties on routine matters that relate to the professional or technical occupation that is being supported.Resolves most problems and work issues without the assistance of a manager or more experienced employee. Identifies and informs managers and/or other employees of problems/issues that require their attention and helps them develop and recommend solutions.Work is reviewed periodically, typically through status reports and at completion, to ensure policy compliance and alignment with the requirements of projects and/or work activities.Performs other duties as required by the AHL/HRMO mission. To qualify for this position at the FV-E level you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-D, FG/GS-5/6 in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Specialized Experience includes:
assisting in a personnel management program; responding to employee's inquiries; inputting and tracking data in various databases.Qualifications must be met by the closing date of the announcement. Applicants should include examples of their specialized experience in their work history.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
