Program Analyst

This position is the Program Analyst for one or more of the Regional programs and activities in the Office of Aerospace Medicine.FV-0343-G Duties:
Incumbent provides technical direction to other personnel in the division as well as communicating technical program information to a diverse audience. Incumbent complies with all Quality Management System (ISO-9001) requirements.Incumbent performs a combination of routine, multiple and varying assignments under the general direction of the manager. Applies experience and detailed knowledge applicable to programs within the Office of Aerospace Medicine to plan and accomplish assignments. Typical assignments may include:
collecting and analyzing data/information; conducting research; applying policies and procedures; identifying problems; and working with high-level and lower-level professionals in day-to-day operations.Applies analytical techniques in reviewing, interpreting, and summarizing medical information and documents. Analysis is conducted to ensure proper program integration and conformance to policy, completeness, and adequacy of operations in meeting goals and objectives.Established policies/procedures provide guidance on most assignments, but allow some discretion to select the most appropriate approach. Refers problems and work issues to a manager, project/program manager, team leader, or more experienced professional when guidelines are not available or applicable.Contacts are primarily internal to the organizational unit, major subdivision, or LOB/SO with a manager and other employees to share information, provide data, and explain status of assignments. May have frequent contacts with other external parties on routing matters such as gathering information, explaining regulations, and/or discussing customers' situation.Work is typically reviewed frequently during assignments and at completion to ensure timeliness, policy compliance, and alignment with the requirements of the project or other work activity.FV-0343-H Duties:

Applies experience and advanced knowledge applicable to programs within the Office of Aerospace Medicine to plan and accomplish assignments. Typical assignments may include:
tracking and analyzing data to ensure compliance with policies and procedures; identifying, analyzing, and recommending solutions for complex/difficult problems; and working with higher-level and lower-level professionals in day-to-day operations.Applies analytical techniques in reviewing, interpreting, and summarizing medical information and documents. Analysis is conducted to ensure proper program integration and conformance to policy, completeness, and adequacy of operations in meeting goals and objectives.Demonstrates considerable independence in planning time and assisting others. Established policies/procedures provide guidance for most assignments, but allow considerable discretion to select the most appropriate approach or recommend new approaches. Resolves most problems and work issues and refers to a manager, project/program manager, team leader, or more experience professional when problems or issues require their attention.Contacts are primarily internal to the organizational unit, major subdivision, or LOB/SO with a manager and other employees to share information, provide data, and explain status of assignments. May have frequent contacts with external parties on routing matters such as gathering information, explaining regulations, and/or discussing customers' situation.Work is typically reviewed periodically and at major milestones and/or at completion for policy compliance and alignment with requirements of work activities. Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE may include but is not limited to:
experience utilizing medical databases; gathering and interpreting medical related data; interpreting, applying medical guidelines accordingly; working with internal and external contacts; experience with program/project managementORPh.D. or equivalent doctoral degreeOR3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degreeORLL.M., if related, from an accredited college or university.ORCombination education and experience may be qualifying for this position. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
